The Campus Life Awards highlight the achievements of clubs and societies as well as individual students, volunteers and club members, providing formal recognition among students’ peers and academic leadership. The Campus Life Awards recognise the achievements and contributions of our Social, Cultural and Academic Clubs and Societies and Campus Life Ambassadors.
Nominations for the awards will be open in Week 9 and will close on Monday the 14th October.
Four complimentary tickets will be available for each club and our UC Life Ambassadors and additional tickets can be purchased for $20 each. All tickets must be reserved/purchased by 9am Tuesday 15th October.

Club Upstart Award: The Club Upstart Award is a long running award to recognise the best new club that started this year. The club must have affiliated for its first time in 2019 and made a genuine and positive contribution to campus culture and community.

On Campus Event of the Year: The On Campus Event of the Year recognises that clubs and societies are a central part of the student life and celebrates those clubs making a genuine effort towards an enlivening culture and providing a vibrant campus experience for all students. The award will go the club who has hosted the most engaging and well attended event on campus.

Off Campus Event of the Year: The Off Campus Event of the Year is designed to recognise clubs and societies that are willing to step outside the comfort zone of working within UC and willing to stage events further afield. Examples of great off campus events would include Industry Trips, Professional Development opportunities or Balls/Galas.

Best Physical Product: The Best Physical Product award has been established to recognise clubs that take their branding or product to a new level. We are looking for anything from shirts and banners to mascots and onesies! If you’ve designed it or made it – show us how wonderful it is!

UC Community Engagement Award: The community service award is to honour the club that has contributed to the UC community or have strived to improve connections within the UC community. Community Engagement can be demonstrated in a variety of ways, including clubs volunteering time towards multiple UC events or projects, Orientation Week, Open Day, faculty led initiatives or even other clubs events.

Club of the Year Awards- Academic, Social and Cultural: The Club of the Year Awards are divided into three categories reflecting the vast array of clubs on campus at UC. They are: Academic, Social and Cultural.
The recipient of the Club of the Year award will show:

Leadership:

Ability of the club or society to work effectively as a team; and

Ability to communicate effectively within their team, to their membership, and the University/Faculty at large.

Performance:

Ability to accomplish tasks or objectives, including effective pre-planning, use of budget, time to accomplish tasks or objectives and the way its was achieved;

Demonstrate creativity in their work to accomplish goals;

Demonstrate initiative to furthering the development of the club and student community; and

Demonstrate any growth and development within the club.

Demonstrate positive collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrate a positive attitude towards the University community and to increasing the quality to student life on campus; and
