MONDAY – Coffee, Cake & Colouring
Free coffee on us! What more could you want?
On Monday, May 8 to kick off Stress Less Week we will be giving out free coffees, hot chocolates, tea, chai lattes and cake as well as providing colouring in and origami from 10am! Come and find your calm before the stress of the week fully hits.
TUESDAY – Paws the Pressure & Free BBQ!
On Tuesday, May 9 we’ve got lunch covered! Come and get a free BBQ lunch cooked by UC Nesian between 12 – 1.30pm while allowing the Delta Therapy dogs to help you pause the pressure of study! The Delta Therapy dogs will be roaming around the Concourse from 12pm – 1.30pm, so make sure you stop by and get a cuddle from a furry friend to help ease your stress.
WEDNESDAY- Petting Zoo + Sports Carnival
As per tradition, Wednesday, May 10 brings Stress Less Week’s favourite attraction of the week, the Noahs Ark Farm Friends Petting Zoo! From 10am-2pm on the lawns between building 5 and the library you will find so many cute farm animals to relieve your stress.
Meanwhile, head over to the Concourse where Sport at UC have your fitness and wellbeing covered during Stress Less Week, with their Sports Carnival on the Concourse from 12-1.30! So head on down to the Concourse to give yourself a stress release and make sure to move your body!
THURSDAY- Free Toasties & Chill
Don’t stress about breakfast on the 2nd last day of class- we’ve got you covered! On Thursday, May 11 free toasties for students will be available on the Concourse from 11am till we run out (there will be gluten free & vegetarian options available)!
Also come and take a moment for yourself amidst the pressure of assessment and chill out to the smooth sounds of Cat Ridgeway. There will also be giant Jenga and chess to help you de-stress!
FRIDAY- The Ruckus Crew– Brumbies vs Lions
Help us cheer on our Brumbies as they verse the Lions here in Canberra at GIO Stadium on May 12! Join us from 5pm at The Well for a free BBQ and then free buses to the game. This is a chance for you to let your hair down at the end of a busy week and forget the stress of assessment! See you there!
All week long UC Fit: Sport & Health have got your health and wellbeing covered by offering all UC students $5 entry for 1 casual visit to any of the following classes during SLW:
· Yoga (Monday, Wednesday & Friday @ 12:45pm)
· KickBoxing (Tuesday & Thursday @ 12:45pm)
· TaiChi (Friday @ 4:45pm)
