Unisounds is back again for 2017 and is looking for all bands/artists to apply for the chance to kickstart their music careers.
Formally known as the ‘National Campus Band Comp’, Unisounds offers musical acts who are enrolled in an institution that is a part of the Tertiary Access Group with once in a lifetime opportunities to further their path in the industry.
Entries will be assessed from a panel of judges that consist of representatives from: Sony Music, Frontier Touring, Dine Alone Records, Spotify, HUB and Kennel Publishing.
Six finalists will attend a full-day industry conference with a customised program of professional development and music recording from an industry member and also play live at the Unisounds one day festival.
The top two will then be selected to compete again that night, with the champion recording their own EP the next day.
Past winners of the event include: Eskimo Joe, Jebediah and last year’s champions from the ACT, Moaning Lisa.
