Round 1 of the University of Canberra Sport competition took place today with the Brumbies staff members squaring off against the University of Canberra Union (UCU) team.
UCU’s squad was boosted with the inclusion of UC Capitals players Mikaela Ruef and Kate Gaze.
After a fast start by UCU, the Brumbies managed a late rally to send the game into extra time.
However, with the last play of the game UCU managed to find the end zone to secure victory 12 to 11.
Throughout the semester, a different sport will be played at 12pm on Tuesday’s. Next week’s activity will be six a-side soccer.
